In September 2005 we were able to go down to Silverstone for the F1 testing.  Lots of teams and drivers were there again -

We were very lucky to be able to get into the Renault Pit Garage.  Giancarlo Fisichella on the left with his trademark green colour on his helmet and Fernando Alonso on the right with his red trim helmet.  Fernando Alonso was on track to be coming this years F1 world champion and taking the crown of Michael Schumacher.  If he wins he will be the youngest F1 world champion.  He is one of the drivers we do support and really enjoyed watching this season and to see him in person was a totally awesome experience.  The man who could be be the next world champion just feet away from us was unbelievable...............

.........However, meeting him and getting his autograph was even more exciting and when and when I asked him how it felt to be this close to winning the World Championship title he replied "it is like a dream come true for me and to get the constructors title too for the team will be just as important".  After I got his autograph I wished him all the luck in the world.  As we now know he did indeed go on to win the Championship for 2005 and Renault won the constructors.

With Ralf Schumacher, now driving for Toyota this season.  He is a really nice guy and has time for his fans too like most of the other drivers.
