Silverstone F1 2004

2004 was our first trip to see the F1 testing at Silverstone.  Following every race like we do is something we both love.  Nothing prepared us though for the sights and sounds of these amazing cars close up.  You can't truly appreciate how fast theyreally do go when you watch them on the TV and the sounds they make are so much louder in real life.  You feel the sound of the engine vibrating through your body as the cars go past.

We were lucky to be able to use the BRDC club house for great viewing of the race track and we managed to get into a few team garages on the day and see the drivers and the cars.  Our first close up experience of F1 and we became even more hooked on the sport!!

From the top of the club house you can see how they spell out the word SILVERSTONE with the seating on the pit lane straight.

On the winners podium - well it had to be done!!!

Inside the Honda garage with engineers working on Jenson Button's car

Here he is our favourite driver - Jenson Button - getting ready to leave his garage right in front of us!!!!

The BMW mechanics were really lovely and friendly and managed to sneak us into the garage for a closer look.
